Carole J. Klebe of Bismarck passed away on April 10, 2023, at Augusta Place, her home for the past four years. A Visitation will be at 10:00 AM. Monday, April 24 with funeral to follow at 11:00 AM at Century Baptist Church in Bismarck. A burial service will be held on Tuesday, April 25 at 12:00 PM at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Bottineau.
She was born in Kramer, ND on April 8, 1940, to Ida (Gonitzke) and Edmund Klebe. She moved to Grand Forks at the age of five. After graduating high school, she attended the Sisters of St. Joseph School of Nursing and received a diploma in nursing in 1961. After working at several hospitals in North Dakota as a surgical nurse she moved to Oroville, CA. She then returned to Bismarck in 1972 to work for the ND State Health Department where she retired in 2002. Carole also received a Bachelor of Science degree in Social & Behavioral Sciences in 1994 from the University of Mary. Carole was a member of and wedding coordinator at Century Baptist Church. She was an active member of P.E.O, a volunteer at the N. D. Long Term Care Association and enjoyed traveling. She always held a special place in her heart for her dog, Misty. Carole was always happiest when she could spend time with her dear friends, Dorrene Haugrud, Vickie Dutchek, Patty Robinson, Darlene Bartz of Bismarck, and Myrna Drees of Grand Forks, and always enjoyed welcoming family and friends into her home. In addition to her close friends mentioned, she is also survived by her nephews Douglas (Deborah) Klebe of California, Gregory (Debbie) Klebe of Illinois, and Michael (Julie) Klebe of Illinois, great nephews/nieces and their families, as well as several cousins. Carole will be greatly missed.
Carole had one brother Virgil Klebe and sister-in-law, Myrtle Klebe who preceded her death.
