Ardella Adeline Zeiszler, 79 was called home on June 21, 2023, at the hospital in Cumming, GA. Funeral services will be on Saturday, July 1, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at Bethel Lutheran Church, Bismarck. Visitation will be on Friday, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Bismarck Funeral Home.
She was born August 17, 1943, to Emanuel and Pauline (Delzer) Steinert at their home in Garrison, North Dakota. She lived there with her three brothers, Duane, Roger, and Larry Steinert.
Ardella graduated from Garrison High School in 1963. Following high school, she worked at Frederick’s Variety Store. She soon met her husband, Donald Duane Zeiszler and moved to Massachusetts where they were married in 1966. That same year Donald was ordered to the military to serve in Vietnam, when she moved back to North Dakota. In 1968 Ardella joined Donald in Virginia where he was stationed for 2 years. After Donald’s service they moved together to McClusky, North Dakota. In 1973 she moved back with Donald to Garrison North Dakota where they began their family. There she began work at Elsie’s Café making delicious bakery items and later owning and operating the Garrison Arcade and Video with her family for many years. They lived in Garrison until 2014, where they moved to Arizona, and then Georgia in 2020.
Ardella enjoyed her time cooking, baking, painting, arts and crafts, collecting pig figurines and gardening. No matter where she lived, she always had an immaculate garden and flowers surrounding her home. She was always strong in her faith and was a member of Peace Lutheran Church in Garrison, ND, Dessert Foothill Lutheran Church in Scottsdale AZ, and King of Kings Lutheran Church in Talking Rock, GA. Her greatest love was caring for her children and husband.
Ardella is survived by her devoted husband of 56 years, Donald Zeiszler; three brothers, Duane Steinert, Roger Steinert, and Larry Steinert; four children, daughter, Rainy (Zeiszler) Taylor; daughter Heide (Zeiszler) Hardy and husband Brian Hardy Sr.; son, Kevin Zeiszler; and Amber Zeiszler. Grandchildren, Violet Taylor, William Taylor, and Elleon Zeiszler.
Ardella was proceeded in death by her parents, Emanuel and Pauline (Delzer) Steinert.
