Ardean was born on March 12, 1965 to Joe and Jennie Masseth and grew up in Bismarck, ND. He graduated from Bismarck High School in 1983. He was employed at the Bank of North Dakota for nearly 40 years! He also worked part-time at Captain Jacks, where he earned the nickname, “The Marshall” (If you know, you know!).
Ardean recently celebrated his 60th Birthday…we want to thank everyone that showered him with cards on this special occasion!
Ardean valued honesty and modeled that honesty in how he lived his life. He was very humble, loving, kind-hearted, hard-working and a loyal son, brother and friend. Ardean was always up for grilling and getting-together with family and friends. He enjoyed sitting in the sun by the river, fishing, softball, playing cards, darts, trivia, games, cheering on the Steelers, and listening to K-Love radio. He had an incredible deep faith in our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ!
Ardean is survived by his mother, Jennie; brothers, Tony (Linda), Allen, Joe; sisters, Erna (Steve) Jacobchick, Edwina Masseth, Joyce (Bryan) Doll, Lisa (Aaron) Fortney; his fiancé, Kim Reamann; her children and grandchildren (he was especially close to Kim’s grandson, Aden); numerous beloved nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles, and very special friends. Ardean truly loved his nieces and nephews and spending quality time with them. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Ardean was preceded in death by his grandparents; father, Joseph Masseth; brother, Don Masseth; niece, Anastasia Fortney; great niece, Nevaeh Zacher.
Don’t grieve for me, for now I’m free, I am following the path God laid for me.
In lieu, of flowers, honor Ardean by enjoying the day, take a walk along the river, soak up the sun, stop and smell the flowers, live life to the fullest…life is short, have a beer!
