Agnes Schirado

Agnes (Muller) Schirado, beloved mother, grandmother and sister, passed away on January 25th at CHI St. Alexius Hospital in Bismarck, with family by her side.

She was born November 10, 1933 in Glen Ullin to Charles and Caroline (Kuhn) Muller.

In 1953, she married George M. Schirado in Glen Ullin and later moved to Bismarck where they raised 8 children, only to lose one at the age of 4 in 1961. 

Agnes loved her crocheting, quilting and sewing, and was very meticulous at it. She would always get a smile on her face when she was asked to “repair” something with her good ol’ fashioned Singer sewing machine.

She leaves behind her five sons, Ken, California, Keith (Kate), Bismarck, Kim (Shirley), Moorhead, Kevin (Melinda), Kurt (Cindy) both of Bismarck and two daughters, Karla (Jerry) Jabs, Moorhead, Kristie Strandemo, Menoken along with 9 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

Agnes was preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Karen Ann and her beloved son in law, Curtis Strandemo; her parents and many siblings.

You will be greatly missed, mother! You’re going home! Heaven’s lucky to have you and so were we! We love you. 

A special thank you to all of the staff and doctors at CHI St. Alexius hospital for the great care she received while there. 

Per her wishes, there will be no funeral and will later be laid to rest by her daughter at the St. Mary’s Cemetery in Bismarck.
