I was fortunate to have worked with Ma and Pa for many years at NDSCS and they were also both instructors when I attended to NDSCS. What great role models they were for so many college students in Wahpeton! My thoughts and prayers are with the family.

MA was not only my advisor coming into NDSCS but my Tennis coach as well. She eventually had me line judging at VB matches, Announcing for the Woman’s home Basketball games, and judging cheerleading competitions with Judy McDaniel and herself. Our road trips to the area schools were priceless. I will never forget her inquiry regarding my living conditions for my second year. She made me feel loved and cared for with her concern for my accommodations. She spoke frankly and reflective, which has rubbed off on me in my own teaching career. If I have impacted any one of my students these past 28 years the way she has impacted me, I consider that a win. Thanks MA, May you Rest In Peace. Karla

Beautiful person. My heart goes out to the Grage family, all her friends and extended family. My favorite memories as a little kid involve Ma Grage sharing gum with us kids as we watched those Corner Drug softball teams play so well summer after summer after summer. Peace be with you all. Respectfully, Lance

Kris, Kurt, Karla and Kevin...I am so sorry to hear about "MA"! Oh the memories that I have of that wonderful lady. I was with her in those initial years in volleyball. The road trips with a green program were hilarious when I think about them today. Getting uniforms for volleyball was a treat..the old gym t-shirts with a number and the red shorts. No one knew for sure what we were doing, but "MA" proved to everyone she was the best choice for the first ever coach of Lady Wildcats. The few road trips we had in those early years and the sets of twins that played, "MA" could get away with anything right or wrong. I will cherish the memories that I have and treasure having gotten to know the Grage family. My prayers are with all of you...Loved "MA" deeply. RIP MA Becki (Meyer) Beach, Fairmount, ND

So sad to see this, but grateful she suffers no more. She was such an outstanding lady. I'll never forget her impact she had on those volleyball girls and the love she had for her family. Chris, Becky, Shelly, and Steph, may your heart heal quickly and memories never cease.

Had the pleasure of knowing Mary Ann and Alan when I was a physician in Wahpeton. Two beautiful people who taught and coached thousands of men and women who became better individuals.

Grage children and grandchildren, I am saddened to hear of "Ma's" passing. I had the privilege of having her as my PE teacher at NDSCS (Class of '71). Truly, a pioneer of women's sports, she inspired me to major in P.E., teach and coach. I am so grateful to have known her, and will remember her with great fondness.

Thank you for allowing us to follow in your foot steps. You gave gifts to NDSSS for 25 years. Now 25 plus years after leaving you continued to touch the new NDSCS players and Coaches. Thank you for laying the foundation, and continuing to support us. Once a Wildcat Always a Wildcat! Rest In Peace. Jane Passa NDSCS Athletics
