AMAZING NURSE! I was the child on the end of a few needles, the one who locked myself in an exam room to avoid Mrs. Rhodes needle.... eventually, she caught me. She was there with care for the times I did get taken in to see Dr. R.... and they were both a team to serve the kids, and especially gentle on those of us they knew suffered abuse by our parent. Mary was an Angel... one many children had for many years. God will rest her soul now, as it is time for her to have the wings she so earned on earth. God Bless you, Mrs. Rhodes.

I met Mary when she became the pediatric nurse for our two children.Later spent time with her at the clinic and at LPN functions.I loved everything about her, great sense of humor, her knowledge ,her kindness and how down to earth she was.Mary will be missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

God Bless you Mary. She was the most incredible caring nurse and woman. She treated all four of our children with such respect and gentle good humor. Mary was so caring, especially when in my early mother years, she assured me that I was doing things just fine. She made such a difference in all of our lives. Thank you Mary.

To the family Of Mary ( a wonderful lady) We met Mary as Dr. Reicke was our children's doctor. Our daughter Mikala was born prematurely and Dr. Reicke was our doctor and we met Mary. Mary and Dr. Reicke became our family. When we came to see them we usually had to have a picture and we got the biggest hugs from both of them. When Mikala got married we invited both Dr. Reicke and Mary, Mary was able to make it. She looked as beautiful as always and we had a picture taken of Mikala and her; and she was so very proud of it. She also said she was like a granddaughter to her.We always stayed in touch especially at Christmas, sending xmas wishes and pictures so they could always see how Mikala was doing and then of course Nik got to be part of that when he came into our lives. Our daughter Mikala got sick with cancer and when Mikala passed away 4 years ago, guess who was there for us. Our Mary helping with a hug, bringing food to the house and checking up on us after Mikala's passing. We would get a card every now and then from Mary just checking in with us to see how we were doing. She told us that she always went and visited Mikala at the cemetery when she came to see her husband. As you can see there was a special bond there. Then our son, Nik had asthma and we had the wonderful pleasure of having both of them again. Mary was more than a nurse to us, we considered her family along with Dr. Reicke, anytime we would come in there arms were out stretched and we got the biggest hugs!! We will miss her greatly!! Now Mikala will have her precious Mary up in Heaven I know Mikala reached out with a big hug for her along with her husband and so many!! To the family thank you sharing her with and so many peoples lives she touched. She will always be part of our hearts and family!! You had a wonderful mother!!!

What a sweetheart Mary was! I will always treasure memories of the Golden Girls trip to Washington D.C. early in the Obama administration...God speed to this Golden Girl.

To the nurse who oriented me into nursing at St. A's and we both became officers at the Nurses Association. I remember all the fun times we had going to all the conventions all over. I will miss you. Sympathy to the family.

Just got a minute to finally sit down and read the wonderful tributes to my mom. You enriched her life as much as she did yours. Thank you for remembering her and the support to our family during this difficult time. God bless...
