Gregory Ziegler


Gregory Paul Ziegler,67, passed away on Tuesday, December 3, 2019 at the St. Vincent’s Nursing Home in Bismarck, ND. A Funeral Service will be held at Bismarck Funeral Home, at 9:00 a.m., on Monday, Dec. 9, 2019. Visitation will take place one hour prior to services. A private burial will be held later at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Bismarck, ND.
Greg was born September 14, 1952 to Ramona (Murschel) and Paul Ziegler in Bismarck, ND.
Greg attended school at St. Mary’s Grade School, St. Mary’s Central High School, BJC, and Mary College, graduating with a degree in Business.
Greg worked at various jobs in his career, including Kinney Shoes, where he said he was a GOOD shoe salesman, the Bismarck Tribune, and AA Action Movers. Greg was an avid Green Bay Packers fan and loved to razz his nephew Ryan for being a Vikings fan. He was a very family-oriented man and took great pride in watching his nephews in their sports activities. He had a special place in his heart for his nieces and nephews as well as his little Laci and Carter.
Greg is survived by his brothers: Rick (Karen), Marc, and Pat, all of Bismarck, and sisters: Kathy (Duane) Crabbe, Bismarck, and Karen (Curt) Fischer, Driscoll. He is also survived by nephews Ryan Ziegler, Casey Fischer, and Alex Crabbe, nieces Heather and Samantha Crabbe, and Great Nephew Carter Ziegler and Great Niece Laci Ziegler. He is also survived by his uncles Edmer (Angie) Murschel, Lester Murschel, and George (MaryAnn) Murschel, and Aunt Betty Ziegler, all of Bismarck, and Aunt Helen Murschel of Colorado Springs, CO, along with numerous cousins.
Greg was preceded in death by his parents Mona and Paul, his grandparents, Uncles Peter Ziegler, Art Murschel, Jim Murschel, Ivan Murschel, Tony Ell, Bill Squire, and Ray Reiner, his Aunts Agnes Ziegler, Edna Nelson, Alda Murschel, Lillian Squire, Agnes Meske, Virginia Ell, and Ruby Reiner.
In lieu of flowers, Greg requested that memorials be made to Habitat for Humanity in his name.
