Grace Peterson, 85, Bismarck, ND, died April 22, 2021, in a Bismarck hospital. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM, Wednesday, April 28, 2021 at Bismarck Funeral Home. Cremation has taken place.

Grace was born December 20, 1935, in Hillsboro, ND, to George and Ruby (Munter) Doeden. She married Glenn Peterson in Hillsboro on July 3, 1954. They lived in the Hillsboro area until 1972 when they moved to Bismarck where they owned and operated Peterson Painting. They both enjoyed traveling, camping, fishing, and visiting relatives and friends. Glenn passed away in 2005.  After his passing, Grace did some traveling with her sisters, enjoyed reading, puzzles and crosswords, water aerobics and fitness classes, visiting with relatives and friends, and loved a good marble game.

She is survived by two daughters, Rochelle (Fred) Urlacher and Kris (Barry) Higgins, both of Bismarck; two sons, Lon (Vicky) Peterson, Baldwin, and Del (Mary) Peterson, Prior Lake, MN; nine grandchildren, Melissa (Steve) Kassian, Tina (Lance) Gerhardt, LeeAnn (Nick) Kramlich, Tahnee (James) Young, Douglas (Sarah) Peterson, Mikael Peterson, Stuart Peterson, Sophie Peterson, and Claire Peterson; ten great-grandchildren, Kase, Kade and Kate Kassian, Clay and Cole Gerhardt, Ethan and Brantly Kramlich, Tyler Higgins, Maria Young, and Chelsey Peterson; three sisters, Eunice Grove, Thief River Falls, MN, Lorraine (Odney) Ellingson, Grand Forks, ND, and Gwen Apodaca, Carson City, NV, and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; four sisters, Joyce Doeden, Ruth (Bob) Crotty, LuVerne (LeRoy) Erickson, and Donna (Hank) Doeden; brother-in-law Verdeen Grove; one grandson, Lee Urlacher; and one great-grandson Corbyn Peterson.
