Elverna Schlichenmayer, 87, passed away on October 30, 2019.  Cremation has taken place.  A memorial service will be held on November 5, 2019, at 10:30 am, at the Bismarck Funeral Home.

Elverna was born on a farm near Heaton, attended rural school and moved with her family to McClusky.  In 1951, she moved to Bismarck.  She married Vernon Schlichenmayer in 1954.  She was employed at St. Alexius Medical Center for 46 years and retired in 1998.

She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church, VFW Auxiliary, Med-Center One Auxiliary and was an active member of the Eagles Auxiliary for over 60 years and served as a past president of the club.

Elverna is survived by one sister and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband, parents, four brothers, and three sisters.
