Bertha A. (Wolford) Sutton (83) of Bismarck, N. D. passed away at her home on February 14, 2022. She was born in Salem, Ohio on September 23, 1938, to Luther J. and Anna R. (Hiner) Wolford.

Bertha married her husband David on May 26, 1961, in Salem, Ohio. Bertha was an avid bowler and spent many years competing in leagues and national tournaments. She also enjoyed spending time outdoors on the golf course with her husband David. Being dog-lovers, she and David owned several throughout the years who kept them company on their many RV trips across the country.

Bertha is survived by two sisters, Velma (Albert) Shultz of Leetonia, Ohio, and Anna (Shawn) Joseph of Lisbon, Ohio.

Bertha was preceded in death by her husband, David Sutton; parents, Luther J. Wolford and Anna R. (Hiner) Wolford; her brother, Carl L. Wolford; and sisters, Carol M. Dotson and Linda L. Dotson.

Special thanks to the Arndt family for taking care of our sister through the years and handling her last wishes with her passing.

Arrangements are being handled by Bismarck Funeral Home, and a private burial will be held later in the Spring at the North Dakota Veteran’s Cemetery.
