Shirley Vogel, 65, passed away unexpectedly June 21, 2018. A celebration of life will be held from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. Friday, June 29, at Tom and Karen O'Brien's home at 4335 Sandy River Drive, Bismarck, 58503. Follow the signs.
Shirley was born on Sept. 3, 1952, and resided in Bismarck her entire life. She spent the last 40 years with her loving husband, Tom, as well as her beloved dogs, Zeus and Halo. There are few words to describe her, as Shirley touched and impressed so many lives in her short time in this world. Shirley was known for her contagious laugh, big heart and fun loving personality.
She leaves behind her mother, Helen Joyner; two sisters, Marilyn Eckroth (Gary), Karen O'Brien (Tom); and three brothers, Gary Bender (Patty), Mike Bender (Marlys Lupien) and Tim Bender. She also leaves behind one sister-in-law, Nancy Gross (Leroy); and two brothers-in-law, Kenny (Kay) Vogel and Mark (Stella) Vogel; many nieces and nephews; and three god-children, Chelsey Tower, Weston Eckroth, and Jeremiah Lund.
She is preceded in death by her father, Henry Bender; step-father, George Joyner; and brother, Thomas Bender.
