Phyllis Rauser, 87, passed away peacefully in her sleep October 1, 2017 at CHI St Alexius Hospital, Bismarck ND.
Funeral Services will be held at Bismarck Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 4, 2016 at 10:30 AM. Public visitation will take place at Bismarck Funeral Home on Tuesday October 3, 2017 from 6-8:00 PM.
Phyllis Joann was born in Minot to Wesley and Goldie Josewski on March, 15, 1930. She grew up in Maxbass, ND and graduated from Maxbass High School. Phyllis attended college in Minot and worked numerous jobs until she met Leland Rauser. They were united in marriage on November 7, 1954. They farmed in various areas until they bought a farm by McClusky in 1962, where they raised their six children. After retiring in 1978, they spent some time in Harvey before moving to Bismarck in 1981. Her husband of 48 years passed away in May of 2003. She moved to Edgewood Vista before residing at Missouri Slope Lutheran Care Center up until her death.
She’ll be remembered by her family and friends for her sense of humor. She would dress up for the holidays and sporting events accordingly. She was known for sporting her Vikings and Twins apparel.
Phyllis is survived by her loving children, Luann Allord, Susan Sharp, Deanna (Randy) Schatz, Jeff (Kathy) Rauser, Mike (Carli) Rauser all of Bismarck, and Tim (Bill) Rauser, Moorhead MN; 10 grandchildren Nine great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Leland, her parents Goldie and Wes Josewski, Her sister Lois Weisser and son-in-law Lester Nording Jr.
