Patricia “Pat” Heidt, 78, passed away on June 28, 2018 at St. Gabriel’s Community after battling Progressive Muscular Atrophy a rare form of ALS. A gathering of family and friends will be held at 11:30am on Tuesday, July 3, 2018 at Bismarck Funeral Home. There will be no visitation as cremation has already taken place.
Pat was born to Albert and Marjorie Cordner, March 16, 1940, in Great Falls, Montana. In 1948, the family moved to Bismarck, ND where Pat was raised and educated. After high school Pat attended Bismarck State College. She married James Heidt on June 13, 1959 and they had three children together. Pat worked for many businesses including Carrier, Home on the Range for Boys, WSI, the Bismarck Legislature, MedCenter One, and Financial Planners Network. She also enjoyed being a member of the social society of Beta Sigma Phi.
Pat loved diet coke, ice cream, and making delicious salads. She was very creative and enjoyed decorating and creating floral arrangements. Watching her grandchildren and great grandchildren play soccer always brought a smile to her face.
Pat is remembered with love by her three children, Marc Heidt, Mandan, Kelly (Jeff) Wetzel, Bismarck, and Kimberly (Tab) Meyer, Sartell, MN; sister, Pamela (Jack) Holden, Boise ID; James Heidt, Bismarck. She is also survived by nine grandchildren: Lesley Heidt, Jessica (Dave) Meberg, Justin (Kelly) Wetzel, Krystal (Dustin) Berger, Joshua (Carrie) Meyer, Carly, Kaylin, Kenadee, and Christa Meyer and twelve Great-Grandchildren: Madisyn Heidt and Jett Entzel; David, Henry, and Edith Meberg; Jozie, Avary, and Broderick Wetzel; Jack, Charlie, and Tate Berger; MacKenzie Meyer; and Pat’s beloved dog, Gizmo.
Pat was preceded in death by her parents.
The family expresses their deepest gratitude to all the St. Gabriel’s Community staff for all of their kindness, compassionate and tender care they provided Pat.
In lieu of plants and flowers memorials are preferred to the ALS foundation.
