Milton Aisenbrey, Bismarck, ND, died on Saturday, June 2, 2018 at the age of 87. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 6, 2018 at the Bismarck Funeral Home at 11:00 a.m.  Burial will be held at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, Mandan.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
Milton was born to Fred and Sophie (Stolz) Aisenbrey on May 3, 1931 on the family farm southwest of Van Hook, ND.  He was raised on the family farm and graduated from Van Hook High School in 1948.  He attended further schooling at Minot, ND and Omaha, Neb.  For a time, he worked for Northern Pacific Railway.  He also worked on road construction sites before enlisting in the Navy in December 1950 as a radioman.  He was aboard the USS Capricornus AKA57 until his discharge in February 1955.  Then he went to work for Gulf Oil Corporation on the seismic crew in various towns in North Dakota and Montana. 
While living at Choteau, MT, he married Lois Gorman of Bowbells, ND on July 16, 1955.  They returned to New Town, ND.  He went to work for Amerada Petroleum Company at Charlson, ND and Keene, ND in November 1956 until May 1970 when Hess Oil Corporation merged with Amerada.  He then went to work for Clinton Oil Company at Wichita, KS as a material manager for Clinton’s southern division based at Houston, TX.  He returned to Newburg, ND, after Amerada Hess contacted him.  He worked at the Newburg office until he retired in 1992.  In addition to working at Amerada Hess, he and Lois operated the Hangout Lounge in Kramer, ND for several years. He moved to Bismarck in 2011, residing at the Edgewood Vista until February 2018.  He then became a resident at St. Gabriel’s Community.
Milton enjoyed hunting and fishing, making trips to Alaska and Canada.  He also liked spending time in his garden, producing bumper crops of tomatoes.  Pinochle was his card game of choice.
He is survived by his children, Tom (Linda), Cindy (Todd) Engelstad and Bob (Brenda).  He is also survived by his two grandsons, Jacob Aisenbrey and Garrett Engelstad, four step grandchildren, eleven step great -grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Milton was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Lois; brother Raymond; sisters, Eleanor (Richard) and LaVina (Tom); father-in-law and mother-in-law John and Lillian Gorman; sisters-in-law, Maxine (Ray) and Polly (Don).
