John H. Haluzak Sr., 86, passed away June 5, 2018. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, June 9, 2018 at Bismarck Funeral Home, with Rev. Paul Schauer officiating. Burial will be at Rosehill Cemetery, Wilton.
John was born in Wilton, ND. on Jan. 20, 1932 to Sam and Anna Haluzak. He attended Wilton Public School and worked on the family farm, before joining the Airforce. He served from 1951 to 1954 in the Korean War.
For the last 52 years, he has been with the “love of his life” Pam and married for the last 47 years. They have five children. Prior to being married to Pam, he was married to Doris and with this marriage he had seven children.
John loved the farm life, working on the family farm and was a helping hand for other farmers. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, sewing, baking, and watching his favorite westerns on tv.
He is survived by his wife, Pam (Shepherd); his children. Tracey (Doug) Sander, Tom (Sandy), Terry, Teena (Greg) Frederick, Tana (Ted) Schneider, Tammy (Donnie) Galt, Anna, John Jr. (Kelli), Linda (Rob) Duffy, Paula (Bill) Tetrault and Kathy Markham; 27 grandchildren: Jenny, Jessica; Bill, Chris; Janice, Terry J., Tim; Shannon; Crystal, Monica, Jesse; Brittney, Brooklin; Nikki, Ryan, Randy, Brandon; Alexis, Ally, Russ, Dakota; Cody, Michael, Jack; Jordan, Aylissa, Leah; 18 great-grandchildren: Kandym; Jamie, Dominick, Jaydon, Kaylee; Katie, Jaelynn, Mercy, Camden; Kaylee, Alanah, Rhys; Dalton, Simon; Oliver; Sophia; Sofia,Treyson, Liliana, Chole; and his brother Mike.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his son, Timothy; first wife Doris and a great-grandchild, Chayna.
John will be deeply missed by his family and friends who loved him very much.
