Donald Feimer, 84, of Bismarck, died May 15, 2017, in a Mandan care center. Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 22, 2017, at 12:30 p.m. at the Bismarck Funeral Home. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the start of the service at the funeral home.
Donald was born October 14, 1932, the son of John and Anna (Neurohr) Feimer. He attended school in Dickinson, graduating in 1950. Donald served in the US Army from 1952-1954. He graduated from Wahpeton State School of Science and began working for KXMB TV in Bismarck the first day the station went on the air on November 19, 1955. Donald retired from KXMB on April 1, 2016. He liked to climb the TV tower for exercise.
Donald was an active member of the John Birch Society for many years. He was a great gardener and continued to plow and plant his garden until just last spring when he planted more fruit trees.
Donald is survived by a niece, Janice Brady.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Doris, his parents; sister, Irene, and a brother, Eberhard.
