Della Mae Stroh, 78, of Wing, ND, died Thursday, December 14, 2017 at Sanford Hospital in Bismarck. A funeral service will be held at Bismarck Funeral Home, on Tuesday, December 19, at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be held at Wing Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 5 -7 p.m., Monday, Dec. 18 at Bismarck Funeral Home.
Della was born September 4, 1939 in Regan to Helen (Bechthold) and Henry Schuh. When Della was 3 years old the family moved to Salem, OR. She graduated from North Salem High School in 1957. She worked in the berry fields and later in the Del Monte cannery, canning vegetables.
On August 18, 1960 she was married to Lloyd Stroh of Wing. In 1962 they moved to Temple, TX where Lloyd was stationed in the Army at Fort Hood. On January 23, 1963, a daughter Lori was born. After returning to North Dakota they moved to the farm where they milked cows and raised beef cattle. Della liked to garden and keep a tidy house and yard. She loved mowing the yard with the riding mower.
Della is survived by her husband of 57 years, Lloyd; her daughter, Lori (Gary) Knoll, Washburn; siblings: Laverna Sorenson of Washington; brother Robert (Rosemary), Warren, Dale (Donna), Jerry (Candy), Marjorie (Doyle) Bartel, Alma Fleener and brothers-in-law, Lornia Brundidge, all of Oregon, Arlie Krein, Bismarck; and sister Marline (Marvin) Hochhalter of Bismarck.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry & Helen Schuh; sister, Florence Brundidge; brother, Elmer; sister-in-law Evelyn (Stroh) Krein; and her in-laws, Ted & Dorthea Stroh.
