Betty Jean Lapp, Bismarck, was placed in the arms of William and Ida Booheister on January 22, 1938. On February 11, 2018, the Angels placed her into the arms of God. Funeral services will be held on Friday, Feb. 16, at 11:00 a.m. at Calvary United Methodist Church. Burial will be held at Mandan Union Cemetery.
Visitation will be Thursday, Feb. 15 from 5 – 7 p.m. with a prayer service at 7:00 at Bismarck Funeral Home.
Betty met Bill Lapp in May 1955. They were married September 12, 1955.
Betty worked at various jobs, including painting and varnishing in new homes. She was a customer service rep in bookkeeping at 1st National Bank. She also was a customer service rep at Provident Life and a receptionist at Pride. Her last job was working at Staples.
Betty enjoyed reading, crafts, sewing and gardening. She was very proud of her roses. She was also known for her lemon meringue pies at church potlucks.
Betty is survived by her children: Connie (Ray) Klein, Tim (Lois) Lapp, Roger Lapp, Cindi (Rick) Getz; grandchildren: Heather Klein, Randy (Shanelle) Klein, April (Drew) Vinchattle, Holly Getz, Madison (Brett) McGrory, Scott Schmidt, Josh (Laci) Lapp, Jared (Bridgett) Lapp; three great-grandsons: Aron & Ethan Vinchattle, and Dominic Lapp; three great-granddaughters: Lauryn Klein, Claire Lapp and Natalya McGrory. She is also survived by a special friend, Nancy.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill; parents, William Booheister and Ida Brigl; brothers, William H. “Bill” Booheister and Robert “Bob Booheister; infant sister, Margaret; and numerous brothers and sisters-in law.
