“Family is not Important-It’s Everything”

Bernice Sjoquist of Tolley passed away quietly at home at the age of 57 surrounded by her family. She battled a long fight against cancer until her spirit was called away. She is met in heaven by her father, Gordon Sjoquist and mother, Rose Sjoquist. She leaves behind her siblings: Kim Triplett (Kelly), Cherie Lee Sjoquist, John Sjoquist (Tracy), Tina Sjoquist, and Amy Sjoquist (Jen). She also leaves behind her Nieces and Nephews and Great Nieces and Nephews whom she regarded as her own children and loved without measure. Bernice worked for Kalix for almost 30 years and during that time made countless friends and memories. An avid crafter, her blankets will be treasured by all who have them. She did everything for everybody, but you wouldn’t catch her on a plane, train, or boat-ha! Bernice’s wish was that she not have a traditional funeral, but instead a Celebration of Life, held this spring in Minot. Her family will notify everyone of the date.
