Sorry for your loss. My greatest memory is the strong faith Marvin had in God. I was impressed even after he lost his daughter and his faith was still as strong.

Jean and Dykema family, I am so sorry to hear about the loss of Marv. He was the first person I had ever worked for when I was going to college in 82-83 and then again when I moved to Bimarck in 85. Dykema Standard. I remember it well. He was the best boss I have ever worked for. Very kind and understanding. He was a good man. Going to miss him - our thoughts and prayers are with the Dykema family. RIP Marv.

Always greeted warmly by Marvin. His faith in God was evident. As Chaplain with Sanford Hospice, I was blessed through my encounters with him. I prayed with him, shared from God's Word. Many times the Scriptures that I read, he joined in and finished. He loved the older hymns, and many times sang along with me. I confess, I tried to stump him by finding a hymn that he did not know but he ended up stumping me on several. I know he loved his family and spoke of his grand- children especially when another picture, letter, etc. was pasted on the door in his room. He will be missed by his family, community, and our Hospice Team who were able to serve. Father, thank you for revealing yourself through Marvin's life. Be close to each of his family. As he desired to go home, guide us all safely to Your place of rest. AMEN

My deepest condolences to you, Jean - and to Karen, Larry, Cindy and the whole Dykema family. Marvin was such a kind and loving man. And a man of strong faith, which was so tested with the loss of Arlis. They are together with God. You are all in my prayers. His kindness lives in all of you. With love, Bruce.

My love to Jean, Larry, Cindy, Karen, Rob and the granddaughters. Marv has always been an inspiration and has a very special place in my heart. He was an incredible example of faith through the most difficult days. He encouraged others and had such a great sense of humor. I know he is now rejoicing in heaven with Arlis. My heartfelt prayers and hugs to each of you, Jenny.

Dear Mrs. Dykema, Larry and Karen; On behalf of the Schanandore Family our deepest condolences on your loss, you are in our thoughts and prayers. I don't know if you remember me or my family, but we use to be neighbors to you in the good old 12th Street NW neighborhood, back during the 50s and 60s in Mandan. I now call South Mandan my home and have been out of the old neighborhood for many years now. My Dad passed in 92 and Mom passed in 98 if you remember them, they were some years older then your Dad Marvin. I use to play baseball with Larry and my sister Patty said she use to play dolls with the girls. My sister Juanita said she remembers your family as well. Matter of fact she just told me the other day, she remembers taking pictures of us all before your family moved out of the neighborhood to Bismarck. I remember it as well and I am amazed that 55 years have since passed. It seems that it was just yesterday that my sister Juanita was taking those pictures. Time flies by so fast. Those times were some of the best times of my life and wish they were back again. They were times of fun and innocence, and it was just generally a good time to be a kid growing up, in the good old neighborhood of 12th Street NW in Mandan. Again, I along with my family, are sorry for your loss, Sincerely; Vince Schanandore, From the good old 12th Street NW neighborhood.
