Gladys was a lovely lady who was composed and gentile, that is, ladylike. I am saddened by her passing. But I know she rejoices in the presence of the Lord, Jesus. When couples are very close, they often pass within a year of each other. I am sure Gladys wished to be with her Melvin. God bless her children and grandchildren as they mourn. My sympathies.

Gladys was always so cheerful & made me feel like part of the family when I stayed there as a young gal. She was so full of life & fun to be around. I remember her spending some nights at our house, but, we won't go into that! Good times. Rest, our little lady. Sorry your time on earth is over, but gave it your all. Love to all your family. ❤❤

Gladys would come to me for massage on a regular basis. She told me many stories of her family. Such a special lady. I will miss her, but she is now at rest with Jesus and the love of her life. My condolences to all that loved her.

Children-Family of Gladys: Our love, prayers and sympathy be with all of you as she was a very special lady. I still remember 'the day I met her' when Mel brought her to a family gathering. She became a special friend to me then and even more so over the years and both she and Mel were always so loving to me/us. In later years Ed and I enjoyed our visits with them in Arizona and also in ND when we came back there for various family functions or special occasions. May she now rest in peace; free from pain and suffering, rejoined with beloved family members gone on before and in the loving arms of our "Risen Lord and Savior" . . . Rejoice in all the shared memories and the legacy she has left you with, Marjean(Pfennig) & Ed Hill

I'm so sorry for your loss of Gladys, one of my first friends I met when I moved to Bismarck in 1981. I joined her bowling team and she'd pick up my little boy and I and we'd go bowling. She got me selling Avon also. As my young family grew, she was like a grandmother to them and a mom to me. She would take my little girls and I to the mother/daughter salad luncheons at her church for Mothers Day, such fun memories that my girls still remember. You kids were so lucky to have her as a mom and she talked so proudly of you all the time. As time passed and she moved away we lost touch and I surprised her at her and Melvin's 25th anniversary. Over the years, I've thought of her often. So thankful for the great memories. Sympathies to your family.
